Diane P. Barber is the executive director of the Pennsylvania Child Care Association, a statewide, non-profit membership association headquartered in Lemoyne, PA. She has over twenty-five years’ experience in nonprofit management and program development for children and youth. Since moving to Harrisburg in 2005, Diane’s work has focused on public policy and advocacy to expand high-quality early care and education. Diane has served on numerous local, state and national boards, advisory committees and task forces. She has designed training programs and provided technical assistance at the local, state, and national level on a variety of programmatic and administrative issues facing programs for children. She has authored and collaborated on articles and publication designed to improve early childhood and afterschool program quality. She is best known for her work and expertise on school-age child care and afterschool programming.
Diane earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. Originally from the New Jersey shore, Diane lived in Philadelphia for many years before moving to the Harrisburg area.
